Kiyocha Hojicha - Roasted Green Tea
Hojicha takes a different turn from everything else in our range.
Second-flush Saemidori and Yabukita leaves from Honyama, Shizuoka, roasted slowly until they reach a deep, warm amber. The roasting strips the grassy edge and leaves something quieter underneath - rich, smooth, and naturally sweet, with notes of cacao and toasted nuts. No bitterness. Just warmth from start to finish.
Lower in caffeine than matcha, Hojicha fits where green tea doesn't. Evenings. Wind-downs. The 4pm cup when you want something grounding without the buzz.
Same farm, same care, different character entirely.
ほうじ茶 - roasted tea.
Matcha Care
Matcha Care
To keep your matcha fresh and full of life, follow these simple steps:
DO
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from heat, moisture, and sunlight
- After first use, refrigerate the matcha to preserve its color and flavor
- Keep the lid sealed tightly to prevent air and humidity from affecting the powder
- Use dry, clean utensils when scooping
- Consume within 1–2 months after opening for peak freshness
DON'T
- Leave the matcha open or unsealed
- Store near strong odors—matcha can easily absorb surrounding smells
- Use wet or damp spoons, as moisture may cause clumping or spoilage
